OXYMORONIC NORMS

“No one goes to that restaurant anymore – it’s always too crowded.” Yogi Berra.

(a) Honest opinion

(b) Experience is the best teacher.

These  contradictory phrases, impossible though they appear, may very well be a precise definition of a behavioral tendency toward littering the language with oxymoronic detritus.

Enough of this insane wisdom.

I’m not sure where this is going but as I muddled my way through the day  researching various modes of transportation I smiled and frowned as I met the requirements of UBER. I gave them my information including a credit card number and as I attempted to complete the transaction I was asked if I had read the accompanying contractual agreement. The only way I could read it was to cancel the form I had just filled out.

I smiled an frowned at the same time.

Good grief, I hope this doesn’t mean that my creative flow of great ideas is growing smaller.
