QUESTIONS (MARK MY WORDS)

How does one get from Might to Maybe?

How does one get from Frightened  to Friday?

Why must we Fall to discover Love?

The Gent who discovers the Lady?

How does one get to be Seventy Five?

How does one learn about Ninety?

All of it happens a day at a time

Learning from Maybe ’bout Mighty…

HUMAN TRAITS AND ATTRIBUTES

 Family2010002

Why do we describe God with human traits and attributes?

If God is limited to doing what humans do, only better, how is this helpful?

If we describe God in terms that do not apply to mankind, what would they be?

What are the missing attributes which would complete us?

Do you often wish you possessed the ability to Love at will? Or to stop? At will?

Are there moments in your life when you wish that you possessed total knowledge of past and future as well as current events?

Has there ever been a time in your life when you did not feel powerless when confronted with problems?

Are you troubled when you lose your car keys? Your glasses? The name of a friend or perhaps even a beloved family member?

When you ask for help what new trait or attribute that you feel you lack do you suppose will be present when a solution to a given problem becomes apparent

HOW LARGE IS THE SUM OF ALL EVENTS?

lee_broom

How long is Forever?

How large is the memory thereof?

Can the distance from the First event to the Last be measured?

Are the First and the Last the same event?

Is there a place where this question could d have been viewed the instant it entered my mind.

Are these questions actually in my mind or are they being viewed from afar?

If so, would this be telepathy? Neuropathy?

How long is an instant?

The original thought that inspired this moment:  was it indeed, inspired?

Perhaps Chosen? Created? By whom? Lee Broom? Another?

Did these words appear in the mind of another simultaneously?, telepathically?

Was objectivity abandoned with reference to telepathy?

Does it matter?

If you have questions, by all means ask.

Think About It.

What is The Greatest Power known to man?

Are their words enough to describe It?

What do we call this Power?

Who possesses this Power?

What possesses this Power?

Where did this Power come from?

When will this Power cease to exist?

Does this Power have Intelligence?

If this power has Intelligence, what does it know?

How much does it know?

How old is it?

What does it do?

When does it do it?

Is this Power dependent on Time?

Does Time exist?

If time exists when did Time begin?

When will Time end?

Is it possible that The Beginning and the End are the same thing?

Was Life created?

If so, Who or What created it?

How was it done?

If Life was created or if Life evolved, when will that task be completed?

Are there enough words in any language to answer even one of these questions?

Will we ever know the answer to these questions?

What motivates us to ask these questions?

What compels us to attempt to answer these questions?

If it were possible to answer all imaginable questions and if all were known would life go on?

Can it teach me how to tie a Windsor Knot?

Wouldn’t it be true that by  that time the personal pronoun, “WE” found in all these questions would then be the possessor of all Love and all Knowledge?

What is the relationship between this Power and the world as WE know it?

Who has answers to these questions?

Where is it written?

Can there really be enough words in any language to put into a book or a word processor to answer any one of these questions?

Okay now, back to the first question……. If one supposed that the answer to this question and the second, ,,,,and the third is Love, then the rest should be easy, right? Anybody?????

Just foolin’ witcha.     image001

Interrogatives

300px-Milky_Way_IR_Spitzer

How many millions are in a trillion?

How many leaves in a forest?

How many souls exist in forever?

How many came before us?

Where is it written?’Where are the answers?

Where is the heavenly Chorus?

When did the Big Bang Beget the beginning?

Is the answer there before us?

What if I told you I knew all along?

What if you held a Thesaurus?

A new interrogative might have an answer

Or perhaps it would simply bore us.

Perhaps I had better ask Morris

Think About It.

Mythtery, Oh Mythtery

Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others.
Unfold your own myth.”
Rumi

Does it matter that I got it right?

Must Eleven rhyme with Heaven?

Why not Seven?

Isn’t it enough that I experienced Love?

Must I care……

That I err?

Or whether?

Or never?

Who is to judge?

When will it stop?

Perhaps if I lock……..

The door.

(I shall permit only speechless animals in my life.)

(I shall nod my head and tap my toes to the changeless rhythm of the many Faces of Fear and then I’ll be able to continue with my studies.)

Will I still be able to experience Love?

I wonder what Rumi would say,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

(What is so Mythterious, Lee.)

The Importance of One Bird Running

012

Happy Birthday Son-O-Mine. Sunday being your birthday, I am posting a birthday greeting, including a video, which appears to be photography in motion but which is described flippantly as (mere) animation. Not being as technologically equipped as are you, who earns his living with such knowledge, I am nevertheless excited and moved to manic inquisiosity* whenever I view or hear art that is a million times more real and produced a million times faster than would have been the case a few decades ago.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9zCEMEDWX0

About this stunning presentation of dozens of diving giraffes, my old eyes have gotten used to seeing such visual challenges but my brain will not stop until it either possesses answers or my heart has melted from the sadness I feel directly after the burst of pride that arises when I look at a thing and say to myself, “Only a handful of people on this planet understand what this is about and my son Bill is one of those”.

The sadness of course is the ensuing awareness of the space that separates us.

So back to the film of the diving giraffes; whatever the film makers did to make the diving film is a technique that appears to me to be the same process that was used in the first Jurassic Park film. Remember the scene where the scientist and his children hid behind a log while the stampeding herd of panicked, upright, ostrich-like lizards fled the hungry hunters from hell?

It appeared to me that the new age movie makers first taped a running sequence of some real ostriches and somehow separated the memory of the activity from the visible record. They could then (I think) combine the animated visible image of an imagined, computer-generated, individual animal and combine it with the invisible record of one bird running. After doing this a few times they could then start multiplying the results.

The same is probably true of the giraffes. They would have started with videos of people. The clue that got my attention is near the end, There are brief glimpses of giraffian facial expressions the nature of which reflect brain activity related to a thorough knowledge of language. Only humans of course, possess language and only humans can smirk, frown or smile, human gestures which I imagine must replace half of the words needed to convey an idea. (Too bad texters don’t realize this.)

Happy Birthday Billy Bob. I love you much more than a million smiles traveling a million miles per hour.
* Remember the long walks we took when you were a boy and we made up words? Later we created dumb melodies to properly convey the dumbness of the resulting argot? If you don’t remember that’s okay; I remember often enough for us both.

Who Am I

004

Who am I,

He wondered at ten

And who will I become

Will I be famous

For what he bethought

Will I still be My Father’s Son,

And why am I here by this bubbly brook

With a squirrel and larks nearby

he mulled and decided

If  asked oft enough

That one day

He’d surely know why.

He flew the coop they’ll

One day say

He flew

After

Waving

Goodbye.

We thought we saw him

Up high in the clouds

He flew and

He flew and on

He flew.

He flew

After

Waving

Goodbye,

To return

In the

Nigh and nigh.
