What constitutes insanity?
Who gets to make the rules?
Where’s the Palooka who started it all;
I will show you a fool.
Not the Palooka; no-no-no.
Palooka no pulla da punch.
Palooka was merely a Lab Rat
We were Palooka’s lunch.
NPD OR THEE
Narcissists can cause big problems with their unrelenting psychotic glare which is often as effective over the airwaves as in person,
If time and circumstances appear to require close proximity one may if strong enough, use such a person as a role model for improving their self-image.
Hire a psychiatrist to help start a new life.
THE RHYTHM OF THE RESTLESS
It is impossible as head-nodders to learn the meaning of our gossip.
But gossip we do, nod we do, smile and frown and clap we do; like starlings at early dawn, we flap, we rustle, we cling together and rise from the grasses and fly together, this way and that, seeking the leader whose randomness fails us.
At sundown the murmeration ceases and together we rustle, we rhyme with the rhythm of the restless till darkness overcomes.
Tomorrow we will rise again and like starlings everywhere we will rise as one and heads will nod and the bloated carcasses of our forgotten comrades will add nourishment to the earth and one or two will say do you remember whatsisname.
Oh yes comes the answer, he was always coming up with strange, new ideas. And we head-nodders bestow our final, limited approval in measured doses and our world continues at break-neck speed.
Elephants rarely go hippety hop
Most certainly, rarely do I
But what is that peeking from yonder cloud?
What is that up in the sky?
And over there, a tiger tooth
Surrounded by fifty more
And wrapped around them a great big grin
I can hear that tiger roar
And what is that coming around the bend
A gorilla? I think not.
It’s an elephant yes, of that I am sure
(It didn’t go hippety hop.)
So that is the end, for now at least
Of a dream in a foreign land
Bring me a drum or a big bassoon
I shall leave with a marching band.
(Won’t you join me? Take my hand.)
